As Eurobike 2024 in Frankfurt approached, we were excited to participate in the Handmade area, showcasing bikes that feature our latest work with integrated cable routing.
One of the bikes we had on display is Niccolòs personal Futomaki Disc ICR. This frame exemplifies our commitment to continuously improving our designs. Unlike the first iteration of the Futomaki Disc with fully integrated cable routing, which used a larger head tube with integrated headset cups, Niccolo’s bike features the slimmer 44mm inner diameter head tube we use on most of our bikes. This choice maintains the elegant lines of our bikes while integrating advanced technology.
The bike is equipped with the newest version of the SRAM RED groupset, known for its precise shifting and high performance. The frame incorporates fully integrated cable routing through the non-tapered 44mm head tube, paired with a ENVE ROAD IN-ROUTE fork.
Rolling on ZIPP 454 NSW carbon rims laced to Quvist hubs, this bike provides a smooth and responsive ride. The bouble ratchet system in the hubs offers 120 points of engagement, ensuring quick acceleration and precise handling. The build is completed with an ENVE handlebar, Extralite stem, and Chris King headset and bottom bracket, each chosen for their reliability and performance. Each component works together to create a high-performing and visually appealing bike, designed to deliver an outstanding ride experience.
The bike showcases our “Edizione Corsa” graphics, finished in Porsche’s Macadamia metallic color. This refined shade, combined with matte carbon and silver CNC-machined aluminum parts, gives the bike an elegant yet functional appearance.
Now available for order, the new Futomaki Disc ICR brings integrated cable routing to our line-up.
We're also very excited to showcase a custom build for Alex Bethge from Hunt Wheels, a loyal Cicli Bonanno customer. Alex’s bike is the first Futomaki Disc ICR built for a customer, featuring the standard 44mm inner diameter head tube. This build includes the newly released Columbus Futura Trefoil fork, whose uniquely shaped steerer offers a practical solution for integrated cable routing.
Alex’s bike features an Shimano Ultegra group combined with a Dura Ace crankset, ensuring smooth and reliable shifting. The DEDA Superbox stem, along with the Chris King headset and bottom bracket, provide a robust and high-quality build. The Hunt wheels guarantee excellent performance, reflecting Alex’s professional expertise.
We are extremely pleased with how the bike turned out. It features the 'Edizione Corsa' graphics, with a sleek black paint job and a polished stainless steel chainstay that evokes the spirit of 90s road racing bikes. This minimalist design blends modern aesthetics with a touch of nostalgia.
As we reflect on Eurobike 2024, we’re excited about the future of Cicli Bonanno. We look forward to crafting more bikes like these and sharing our passion with riders around the world.
Happy riding,
Cicli Bonanno
