A Cicli Bonanno to get the best of both worlds
Wanting to have a Cicli Bonanno to get the best of both worlds is quite an honor in itself. Jörg already owns a Sturdy gravel bike and wanted to complement his fleet with an elegant, classically styled road bike the EDIZIONE CORSA x Futomaki V2 ICR.
The purest form of cycling outdoors is found on the open road. Cutting corners, precise handling, and hopefully smooth tarmac: that’s what we wish for his 100% handmade Futomaki.
In complete contrast to his Sturdy built with 3D-printing technology, Jörg wanted this road bike to be handmade as well, but in a more traditional way, without losing the modern touch.
The vision was clear, and the goal was set: to build the perfect tool. Just like a scalpel in the emergency room, precision is everything and if the machine on the road handles like a scalpel, you know it demands your full focus.

Jörg chose a full Columbus XCR stainless steel frameset and selected a BMW Petrol custom color, with Venetian Violet logos outlined in silver. The paint scheme is rounded off with classy silver Chris King components, bringing a bit of sparkle to the SRAM Red AXS E1 gruppo.
He had a clear vision and sourced additional components from Bjorn Cycles to complete the build along with a Rolf Prima EOS AR tubeless wheelset.
It was a joy to see him ride the bike for the first few meters. It's always something special when our customers pick up their Cicli Bonanno in person. And not only a joy for them, that very first electronic gear shift between the chainrings, paired with a big smile and some cheerful sounds, is a moment we always treasure.

The recipe is always the same for the Futomaki Disc V2 ICR.
This frame incorporates all the experience of the workshop and contemporary steel technologies, for what is our answer to the needs of a demanding cyclist regarding speed, responsiveness, and handling.

To pick up the bike Jörg was accompanied by his son. Both are passionate about cycling and it was funny to wittness their ongoing discussion about Campagnolo or no Campagnolo, wich most of us know by heart to well. It is an unfinished one.
Good to see both were more than happy with the final product wich left the shop. We hope it brings more and more of these joyfull moments we were glad to wittness and maybe are part of again at one point.
Maybe for the IN GIRO CON BONANNO in Dresden August 30st. by Lightwolf Studio.
