Jonas Klock is a Berlin-based architect. His work ranges from pure architectural and urban projects to complete interior design and fabrication with a strong focus on product and furniture design.
His studio, Deture Projects, is based on the founding principles of Design and adventure.
Exploration of the landscape, alternative solutions of living, new sustainable possibilities of materials and workmanship are principles of Jonas philosophy in and out of work.
We also spend a lot of time outdoor with him, and have done so for many years. He’s a longtime supporter of our workshop and companion on adventures large and small, from Brandenburg to the Alps. He rides his Stay Loco, equipped with a frame bag designed and handcrafted by himself for his brand, Deture Projects.
A day spent together in his studio in Neukolln was an excuse to get to know his work better. We talked about craftwork, workshops and passions we share, namely the idea of being able to develop one's practice in an ecological way - both in terms of production and economics, and in terms of thinking.
To design something that will stand the test of time and renew itself in its use, adapting to new needs, is the vision of those who, like Jonas, are truly committed to their craft.
We like everything about this Stay Loco, the minimal and contemporary build and the components Jonas chose: Sram electronic drivetrain, Acros wheels and hubs, Tune components and Renè Herse tires.
Creating a community of individuals who share similar passions and ideas provides the motivation necessary to improve and pursue our work with passion. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to enjoy a bike ride together.
